Significant Career Experience
A Partner with the Wegmann Dazet, Valerie’s career in public accounting has served clients in a variety of industries, including: Non-profits, charter schools, offshore oil & gas service companies, retail, wholesale, construction companies – general and subcontractors, and equipment rental.
Additionally, she contributes back to the community by serving on the boards of regional nonprofits.
With two decades of experience, Valerie’s responsibilities have been in the Audit and Accounting Department of the Firm, such as in these areas:
- Extensive audit and assurance experience, including uniform guidance audits and agreed-upon procedures
- Internal control auditing, analysis, and development
- Pension, ERISA and 401(k) audits
- Developing the organization of clients’ internal accounting departments
